Investment Seminar by Prof Chan Yan Chong

Prof Chan Yan ChongProminent investment consultant and popular columnist of Shares Investment, Prof Chan Yan Chong conducted a mandarin investment seminar at the DBS auditorium. Warmly supported by Shares Investment, the seminar was extremely well received with the auditorium packed to the brim – with each of the participants receiving a complimentary copy Shares Investment.

During the four-hour seminar, Prof Chan shared his valuable knowledge and experience in the stock market with the huge turnout by covering five interesting topics: 1) Global Economic Prospect, 2) Latest News on Stock Market, 3) Can Bull Market Still Continue?, 4) Short and Medium Term Market Outlook and 5) Investment Strategies.

According to Prof Chan, the Collateral Debt Obligations issue was not as serious as what most investors have thought. In fact, he advised investors to grab the opportunity to buy shares of banks and oil and gas related counters. Prof Chan also believed that Fed chairman, Ben Bernanke, would cut the Fed funds rate due to certain reasons, which he enlightened the crowd with.

Last but not least, during the Q&A session, Prof Chan was being asked on which are the companies to buy and which are the ones to sell. As always, Prof Chan patiently answered all questions in detail and openly voiced his investment strategies. That evening, all who attended the seminar left with great knowledge and satisfaction.
