1. How do I register on SharesInvestment.com?

Registration on SharesInvestment.com is free, and open to everyone - simply click on the “Sign Up Now!” button on the top right of the page to begin.

However, do note that some of our website content is exclusive to subscribers of our Shares Investment (Singapore Edition) magazine.

2. How do I add items to my watchlist?

At SharesInvestment.com, our users are entitled to a watchlist function. The purpose of this watchlist to convenient our users while monitoring their desired stocks. When a user is interested in observing the performance of a stock over a period of time, he or she can simply add that particular stock into their watch list for easy viewing.

The watchlist tab always appears on the the left hand side of the screen. While looking at the particular stock, the user can simply include that stock into the watch list by clicking “+ Add Current Stock To Watchlist” button.

Upon adding the stock into the watchlist, the user can now simply click onto the name of the stock and be directed straight to its own page. To convenient our users, a “-” (minus) sign is added to the name of the stock for ease of removal.

Currently, our watch list is able hold up to 20 different stocks for easy referral. The homepage of each stock will include useful informations such as insights, charts, prices, quicklinks to the company’s website, its board of directors, related articles and many more!

3. How do I edit my profile information?

One can easily manage his or her profile via the “Edit Profile” page. To access the “Edit Profile” page, simply click on the user name located on the top right of the screen. This Profile page is to aid our users in managing their own profile and settings in our forums.

a) Change of password

The change of passwords can be done at ease at this page too, simply by keying in and verifying the new password twice.

b) Upload of avatar

Users can upload various things onto their SharesInvestment.com account to personalise their profile. Upon accessing the “Edit Profile” page, one can include or edit his or her email, website, location, occupation and interests. This section is commonly known as the avatar section. Providing us with an VALID email address is compulsory. Failure to comply may result to a suspension of account without any refunds. The reason for a valid email is to facilitate us in updating you with the latest events happening on SharesInvestment.com.

Users are also able to upload and attach a picture of their choice to his or her own SharesInvestment account. This avatar picture will be reflected together with each posting on the forum. However, the picture upload must comply to a few conditions as stated below.

• The following image formats are allowed: gif, jpg, jpeg, png.
• File names may not contain the following special characters: # ? & % ” | ‘ * `
• File size must be no greater than 50KB
• Image dimensions greater than 80 x 60 pixels will be resized automatically.
• The picture uploaded must not infringe any copyright laws or contain any explicit contents.

The management reserves the right to suspend any account which fails to comply to any of the above mentioned conditions without any refund to the subscriber.

c) Displaying signature

Last but not least, at the very bottom of the “Edit profile” page, every user can also attach a signature to their profile. The use of this signature function is to create a unique identity for each user. Users may now include a short phrase to sign off each post of theirs on the forum. This phrase is known as the user’s signature and must not contain any explicit content, vulgarities or insinuate any verbal insult to any users of the forum or contain any personal views to any sensitive matter.

Various functions such as BOLD, UNDERLINE, ITALIC are provided in the Signature column to help make each signature unique. These signatures will appear right below every post made on the forum. Users may also choose to leave their signature column blank.

4. How do I advertise on SharesInvestment.com?

5. When does my online account expire?

For running issue subscriptions, the expiration date is the end date of the last issue of your magazine subscription. For example, if the last issue you will receive your subscription is Issue 330 (28/04/08 - 11/05/08), then your account expiration date is 11/05/08.

For odd/even issue subscriptions, the expiration date is the end date of the last issue of your magazine subscription, calculated as if it were a running issue subscription. For example, if your odd/even subscription started at Issue 319, with 12 issues, the actual last issue of your subscription would be Issue 341. However, for the online account, we would calculate the last issue as if your subscription were a running one, and thus, your last issue would be Issue 330 (28/04/08 - 11/05/08), and your account expiration date is 11/05/08.

6. When is my online account subscription renewed?

For online renewals, the subscription records will be updated within 5 minutes upon payment.

For mail-in renewals, the subscription records will be updated as soon as we receive your letter (this could take as long as 5 working days).

7. When will you provide ‘live’ prices?

At the moment, we are only providing 20 minute delayed prices.
